Usually a massage or any spa body treatments are done in the nude, however modesty is always respected. You enter into a private, dimly lit treatment room and take your robe off. Slip in between the sheets on the massage table while the masseuse is out of the room. The masseuse will knock before entering so do not worry about being caught in an awkward position. During the massage the draping technique will be used which only exposes the parts of the body which are being massaged, such as your back, arm, or legs. Your private areas will never be exposed. If you need your buttocks massaged, it can be done through the sheet if you prefer and you can wear underwear as well. If you still feel nervous about being nude, there are types of massages where you can stay fully clothed such as reflexology or Thai massage. A warning to all men, being nude does not mean you will be getting a sensual massage and it is a breach of spa etiquette to ask for one.
If you are still uneasy about being nude, perhaps think twice about getting a body treatment. Although you may not have to be completely nude, body treatments do require more exposure.
